Round Hill Spray Park is open.

One of the most popular summer attractions in the area is the Spray Park at Round Hill. This water area gives kids a fun, safe way to enjoy the sun and water and cool off from the heat. It’s open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. from June through Labor Day weekend (weather conditions permitting). Located at 351 Hereford Drive, the park is free to the public and is also ADA accessible.
Round Hill Park has more than 1,000 acres with 14 miles of walking trails, and bridle paths for horses. The walking trails include a 1-mile path for those who are looking for a leisurely stroll, rather than a full workout.
In addition to great natural areas, Round Hill is also a working exhibition farm. There are few farmers these days, so the park is a unique area in the Allegheny County Parks system. Children can interact with the farm animals, including cows, goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits and horses. The horses are “retired county workers” that have served with the Allegheny County Mounted Patrol and other service jobs.
The farm is open every day, and hundreds of visitors stop by to see the animals. Please do not feed the animals however!
Though the animals are clearly a favorite, there is also a working farm that produces corn and hay, which are feed for the animals.
The structures at the park are not re-creations, but original historic buildings. The barns on the property were constructed in 1864 and are original wood except for the roofs. They were built entirely with wooden pegs, rather than nails, which was the method used in the time period.
The red brick house was once the home of the original farm family who lived there.
