At just 17 years old, Dominic James Wilson, fondly known as “Dom,” is making waves both on and off the football field.

Dominic is the son of Debbie and Bert Wilson and a senior at Woodland Hills High School, residing in Forest Hills. As a multifaceted individual, he is actively engaged in various activities both at school and within his community. Dom’s schedule includes not only football and year-round weightlifting but also participation in the East End Youth Group at Beulah Presbyterian Church. His commitment extends to the work front, contributing his time and effort to Dunkin Donuts in Forest Hills and as a youth camp counselor at Beulah.

When it comes to sports, Dom’s repertoire is impressive. Having started with Edgewood soccer and Swissvale baseball at a young age, he made his mark as an MVP and All-Star, excelling as a left-handed catcher. His wrestling journey with Woodland Hills Junior Wrestling culminated in a Keystone State Championship. Basketball also featured prominently in Dom’s childhood, from age 3 through 9th grade, further showcasing his versatility. However, football has been his constant companion since the age of 5, with impactful coaches like Mr. O’Leary, Coach Trey, Coach CJ, Coach Tim Bostard, Coach Brian Tarrant, Coach Reese, Coach Steve, Coach Rock and Coach Tay leaving an indelible mark on his athletic journey.

Dom’s passion for football goes beyond the field—it’s a part of him that completes him. He credits the sport with keeping him on track in both academics and life, providing an outlet to channel stress and aggression during workouts and games.

One of Dom’s proudest moments was achieving First Team All-Conference status, a testament to his hard work and dedication. The nomination, coming from coaches across various teams, is a recognition he cherishes deeply.

As for his future, Dom has ambitious plans. Considering the Army Reserves and eyeing college, he’s actively exploring opportunities, visiting schools, and planning overnights. With a keen interest in criminal justice, he envisions continuing his football journey at the collegiate level—a natural extension of his longtime determination and love for the game.
