The Westmoreland celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a special Open House on Monday, Jan. 19, welcoming the community for a day of reflection, creativity and connection. The free event featured community partner tables, hands-on art activities, creativity and conversation stations and a student-created MLK Jr. poster tribute. Guests also enjoyed food from the historic Sankofa Mansion, the final day of “Winter Tales: An Immersive Experience” and scheduled programming including a Unity Candle Lighting Ceremony, children’s storytime, live music and interactive drum circles.
