The sights and sounds of Scotland filled Bethel Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 5, as the community gathered for Tartan Day 2025. This free, family-friendly celebration of Scottish heritage was held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and featured a full day of entertainment, workshops, vendors, raffles and delicious Scottish refreshments.
Performances throughout the day included the Balmoral Pipes & Drums, Pittsburgh Scottish Country Dancers, MacDonald Pipe Band and a variety of Celtic musicians across two stages. From traditional Highland dancing to the sounds of the bagpipes, the event was a lovely tribute to Scotland’s culture.
Tartan Day commemorates the Declaration of Arbroath, signed on April 6, 1320, asserting Scotland’s independence.
