Pack the Park!

On Aug. 24, The Miracle League of the South Hills hosted “Pack the Park: Border Battle,” welcoming the Joe Nuxhall Foundation in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Boyce Mayview Park for a day of fun and community spirit.

After an unforgettable trip to Cincinnati in 2022, it was time for Pittsburgh to return the favor!

The event kicked off with the arrival of three buses of kids and adults with special needs and their families from Cincinnati, warmly greeted by crowds waving yellow towels and holding signs.

Players were introduced with a tunnel entrance followed by first pitches, while cheerleaders from USC and Mt. Lebanon added to the excitement.

The event continued with games, activities for all ages, appearances by current and former Pirates and Reds players, and food trucks.
