On Oct. 19 and 20, Operation Troop Appreciation held its much-awaited annual Overstock Extravaganza at the organization’s newly renovated headquarters and events center in West Mifflin.
There were lots of themed gift baskets raffled off, and great deals on tons of merchandise. Patrons were allowed to make offers and bargain on the price of clothing, tools, electronics, household items, sporting goods and even furniture.
Proceeds from the sale will fund Operation Troop Appreciation’s mission of fulfilling an Active Duty Wishlist for servicemembers, consisting of items that contribute to their morale and well-being.
The group also has a program for returning veterans, Operation Welcome Home, which provides critical services for at-risk veterans recovering from homelessness or hospitalization from combat-related service. To learn more, visit operationtroopappreciation.org.
