Fairs, Festivals and Fundraisers

August Fun Fest

When: August 3

Where: Cedar Creek Park, 53 Evergreen Drive, Belle Vernon

This festival features a variety of food, entertainment, and children’s activities that make it an exciting event for the whole family.


Dedicated Nursing Associates Charity Golf Classic

When: June 20

Where: Meadowink Golf Course, 4076 Bulltown Road, Murrysville

The 10th annual DNA Charity Golf Classic will raise funds for the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation.


Great Pyrenees Charity Golf Tournament

When: August 25

Where: Edgewood Country Club, 100 Churchill Road, Churchill

This golf tournament, sponsored by the Great Pyrenees Club of Western PA, raises funds to help the club to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Great Pyrenees that are owner surrendered or rescues at local shelters. 


International Village

When: August 12-14

McKeesport’s regional-favorite heritage festival celebrates sights, sounds, and tastes from around the world. Food booths and on-stage performances represent various countries.


Jeremy Dentel Memorial Golf Outing

When: July 19

Where: 3 Lakes Golf Course, 6700 Saltsburg Road, Penn Hills

This outing has been held in honor of Jeremy after he died tragically in 2022. He was very involved with Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, so the organization established the Jeremy Dentel Emergency Medical Fund as a tribute. This fund helps underwrite the cost of care for animals recovering from abuse, neglect, or injuries suffered from a traumatic event.


Living Dead Weekend

When: June 6-8 

Where: Monroeville Mall, 2790 Mosside Boulevard, Monroeville

This is a fan convention like no other! Celebrity appearances, movie location tours, and movie screenings are just the start of the zombie fun. There will also be official merchandise, vendors, collectibles, art, lots of photo ops, exhibits and panels, and even a VIP party.


Mammoth Fest

When: June 1

Where: Mammoth Park, 171 County Park Road, Mt. Pleasant

Mammoth Fest is a family-oriented festival with a wide variety of food, live music, entertainment, amusement rides, and children’s activities.


Monroeville Foundation Jazz Festival

When: August 30

Where: Tall Trees Amphitheater, Monroeville Community Park West, 2399 Tilbrook Road, Monroeville

The Monroeville Foundation Jazz Festival showcases and celebrates Pittsburgh’s jazz legends and up-and-coming jazz greats alongside national talent. This free concert is a tradition that promotes awareness and appreciation for all forms of jazz.


PA Arts & Crafts Labor Day Festival

When: August 29 through September 1

Where: Westmoreland Fairgrounds, 123 Blue Ribbon Lane, Greensburg

More than 200 indoor and outdoor exhibits will provide lots of shopping opportunities at this festival. There will also be many delicious food options, activities for kids, and live music.


Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival

When: August 23 through September 28 (weekends and Labor Day only)

Where: 112 Renaissance Lane, West Newton

This annual event has a lot to offer. There will be music, magic and merriment for all ages! Entertainment will come from all corners of the Realm, the food will be like a feast fit for a king, and the marketplace will feature more than 100 shops with many unique handmade wares.


Plum SummerFest

SummerFest features food, games, and carnival rides, and concludes on Saturday with a fireworks extravaganza.


Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival

Westmoreland Fair

The Westmoreland Fair has everything! Enjoy events like demolition derbies and bottle rocket competitions, lots of farm animals, and plenty of fair food, of course.


Live Performances

‘A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder’

When: July 11-13 and 17-19

Where: The Theatre Factory, 235 Cavitt Avenue, Trafford

This show is a murderous romp filled with unforgettable music and non-stop laughs.


‘Big Band Brass’ Presented by River City Brass

When: May 1 (Penn Hills) and May 3 (Greensburg)

River City Brass celebrates the music of the great big bands and their leaders. Selections will include hits from the bands of Glenn Miller, Stan Kenton, and Count Basie, as well as some favorite big band music from elsewhere.


Murrysville Concert in the Park

Peace Frog: The Doors Tribute

When: August 15 & 16

This show is a must-see for all Doors fans or anyone looking to experience an amazing replica of a Doors show.


Street Survivors: The Lynyrd Skynyrd Experience

When: August 22

Where: The Oaks Theater, 310 Allegheny River Boulevard, Oakmont

National touring band Street Survivors, a premier tribute to the legendary southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, will play The Oaks. Hear classics such as “What’s Your Name,” “Gimme Three Steps,” “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Free Bird.”


Summer Concert Series at Cedar Creek and Twin Lakes

When: May through September

Where: Cedar Creek Park Outdoor Amphitheater, 53 Evergreen Drive, Belle Vernon; Twin Lakes Park Brian T. Rusnock Amphitheater, 194 Donohoe Road, Greensburg

Summer Sounds

Summers Sounds is Greensburg’s free Friday concert series. A variety of bands will be featured, one per show. Enjoy rock, blues, jazz, bluegrass, and lots of tribute bands.


Summer Sparklers

When: July 5

Where: St. Clair Park, 135 North Maple Avenue, Greensburg

Celebrate Independence Day at this popular annual summer concert in the park. Take a lawn chair or blanket and join family and friends to enjoy a performance by the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra. You will hear lots of classics, patriotic favorites, movie favorites, and the traditional finale (Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture).


The Stranger: Billy Joel Tribute

When: July 11 & 12

Where: The Lamp Theatre, 222 Main Street, Irwin

The Stranger features Mike Santoro and his band paying tribute to the music of Billy Joel.


Tuesdays at Townsend

When: June 10 and 24, July 8 and 22, August 5 and 19

Where: Townsend Park, 130 Townsend Park Court, Murrysville

Enjoy free live performances in the park! Great food and beverage vendors will also be part of the event. Take blankets and chairs to relax under the trees.


Family Fun

Delmont Daze Community Day

Father’s Day Fishing Derby

When: June 15

Where: Twin Lakes Park, 219 Twin Lakes Road, Latrobe

What dad wouldn’t want to spend his Father’s Day fishing? Registration is required for this free fishing derby. The event is sponsored in part by the Westmoreland County Sportsmen’s League and Westmoreland County Parks and Recreation.


Monroeville CommUNITY Day

When: June 7

Where: Monroeville Community Park West, 2399 Tilbrook Road, Monroeville

Monroeville CommUNITY Day brings residents, businesses, and community organizations together. The event offers food and craft vendors, music, entertainment, and activities for kids.


Northmoreland Park Fishing Derby

When: May 18

Where: Northmoreland Park, 280 Markle Road, Apollo

Register at the Activity Center for this free fishing derby. The event is sponsored in part by the Westmoreland County Sportsmen’s League and Westmoreland County Parks and Recreation.


Outdoor Summer Movies

When: June 6, July 11, and August 1

Where: Borough Building Amphitheater, 2000 Old Mine Road, Plum

Westmoreland County Senior Games

When: May 6-16

Where: Mammoth Park, 171 County Park Road, Mt. Pleasant (and various Greensburg locations)

The goal of the Senior Games is to encourage an active lifestyle and continued participation in recreational activities beyond age 50; you don’t have to be super-athletic to participate. The slogan is “Bring a Friend for Fun and Fitness” and anyone over age 50 is welcome to participate.


Summer Running (and Walking)

Five Star Trail Poker Run

When: July 19

Where: Five Star Trail, Kaufman Pavilion at Lynch Field, 520 New Alexandria Road, Greensburg

This is not a race. Each participant will stop at various checkpoints along the trail where they will choose a playing card from a deck. At the end, each participant will have assembled a complete poker hand. The best three hands will receive a trophy and prize package. Collect from one or several stations—walk, bike, or jog as far as you’d like. Door prizes will also be given away.


Freedom 5K

When: July 4

Where: Lynch Field Park, 520 New Alexandria Road, Greensburg

Celebrate Independence Day with the Freedom 5K Run and Walk, which starts and finishes at Lynch Field.


Road to Trail 5K Run and Walk

When: August 15

Where: White Oak Park, Redwood Pavilion, McClintock Road, White Oak

The annual Road to Trail Run and Walk will take place once again in scenic White Oak Park. The race starts and ends on road while the middle 2 miles are through wooded trails and grass fields. Trophies are given to overall winners, and medals to the top three in each age group.


Westmoreland Yough Trail Chapter Poker Run

When: September 1

Where: Great Allegheny Passage, Arthur H. King Access Area, West Newton

Lace up your sneakers or hop on your bike for a 2-mile walk, 12-mile ride, or 20-mile bike ride along the scenic GAP trail. Participants can collect a full poker hand at five stops along the route. The three best poker hands win a trophy and prizes.


Summer Inspiration

Dinner with the Therapy Dogs

When: June 13

This year’s Dinner with the Therapy Dogs will be a gala like no other. There will be a basket raffle, 50/50, and a cash bar. Ten top dogs will walk the red carpet, and even some therapy dogs will greet guests at registration!


Garden Club of Forest Hills Annual Plant Sale

Trash and Treasure Sale

3 Rivers Comicon 2025

The Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival

A production of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, this festival is a celebration of the arts in downtown Pittsburgh unlike any other. Night in the Tropics: Island Oasis

PedalPGH

This casual, fun charity ride welcomes thousands of bikers of all ages, abilities, and fitness levels to explore the Steel City. Proceeds benefit BikePGH, a nonprofit organization that works to make the city safe and accessible for everyone to bike and walk.


Pittsburgh Black Music Festival
