Fairs, Festivals & Fundraisers

Allegheny County Wine & Spirits Festival

When: July 19

Where: Hartwood Acres Mansion Lawn, 200 Hartwood Acres, Allison Park

Enjoy an evening of wine and spirits, food trucks, and live music at the Allegheny County Wine & Spirits Festival. Samples from some of the best wineries and distilleries in the region will be featured.


The Big Butler Fair

When: June 27 through July 5

Where: Butler Fairgrounds, 1127 New Castle Road, Prospect

Families from all over PA, Ohio, New York and West Virginia attend this longtime event each year to enjoy midway games, demolition derbies, concerts, truck pulls, fireworks and much more!


Butler Italian Days

When: August 22 & 23

Where: Main Street (from Cunningham to Wayne), Butler

This event will be a celebration of Italian heritage with delicious food, music, and lots of entertainment.


Divine Grace Parish Family Festival

When: August 8-10

Where: St. Ferdinand Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township

This longtime event is three days of live music, food, Bingo, raffles and carnival games, with a children’s play area and a massive “white elephant” sale.


Holy Trinity ‘Taste of Greece’ Festival

When: August 28-31

Where: 985 Providence Boulevard, McCandless

Souvlaki, moussaka, souzoukakia, gyros, and so much more will be on the menu for the Taste of Greece Festival. Entertainment and vendors will add to the fun.


Music for MS

When: August 9

Where: Corbriwood Stage, 36 Corbriwood Lane, Gibsonia

The 12th annual Music for MS concert will feature a number of musical acts, and there will be food trucks available as well. Purchase tickets on the website. All proceeds benefit the Pennsylvania Keystone Chapter of the National MS Society.


Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish Summer Festival

When: August 11-16

Where: St. Teresa Campus, 100 Avila Court, Perrysville

The festival will offer nightly dinners, games, live music, auction baskets, and the famous flea market!


Saint Aidan Festival

When: July 31 through August 2

Where: St. Alexis Catholic Church, 10090 Old Perry Highway, Wexford

Experience a tradition in the North Hills! Enjoy exciting rides, delicious food, and live entertainment for the whole family.  


The Shindig Charity Music Festival

When: August 1-3

Where: Union Brothers Brewing, 270 Mercer Road, Harmony

This festival is packed with a great mix of around 20 area musicians playing everything from ’80s and ’90s hits to country rock, blues, old-school country, pop rock and more. All proceeds benefit local first responders.


Wildflower Festival

When: July 19, 20, 26, and 27

Where: Freedom Farms, 434 Overbrook Road, Valencia

Tractor rides to the beautiful flower fields where you can pick all the sunflowers, zinnias, snapdragons, and gomphrena you want are worth the price of admission. However, there will also be pony rides, swings, a sunflower maze, corn pit, hay mountain, an animal barn, and more.


Zelienople Horse Trading Days

When: July 17-19

Where: Downtown Zelienople

The Zelienople Area Business Association will present the 59th annual Horse Trading Days this year. A regional tradition, the event offers tons of vendors, unique food options, local products, live music, a family fun run and lots of carnival fun.

Abbamania Canada Live

When: August 9

Where: The Legacy Theater, Cumberland Woods Village, 700 Cumberland Woods Drive, Allison Park

Abbamania Canada performs a show for all ages to enjoy and sing along to ABBA hits like “Waterloo,” “Fernando,” “Dancing Queen” and more.


Beach Party Boys

The Beach Party Boys are in their 10th year of non-stop touring. They have been described as the ultimate beach party coming to life!


Family Fun

Aspinwall’s Big Night Out

When: August 7

Where: Field Avenue, Aspinwall

The Big Night Out is one of Aspinwall’s largest annual community events, drawing neighbors together in a celebration of community and in support of local organizations.


Butler Community Day

When: July 2

Where: Alameda Park, 184 Alameda Park Road, Butler

Butler Community Day offers fun for the whole family with live entertainment, great food and vendors, lot of activities for the kiddos, and fireworks to end the night.


Butler Farm Show

When: August 4-9

Christmas in July

When: July 23

Where: Hampton Community Pool, 3101 McCully Road, Allison Park

Christmas in July at the Hampton Township pool means festive decorations, a free snowball toss for children, and a visit from Mr. Claus! There will also be food trucks and the farmers market in the community center parking lot from 3 to 7 p.m.


Cranberry Township Community Chest Community Days

When: July 10-12

Where: Cranberry Community Park, 111 Ernie Mashuda Drive, Cranberry Township

This event will be three fun days filled with live music, carnival rides, food and craft vendors, games, fireworks, and the home run derby.


First Responders Night Out

When: August 5

Where: Franklin Park Regional Municipal Building, 2344 West Ingomar Road, Franklin Park

Thank local first responders in person for their service and participate in a touch-a-truck style event. There will be ambulances, fire trucks, police cars, public works trucks and tons of other fun things.


The Moraine State Park Regatta

When: August 2 & 3

Where: Moraine State Park (South Shore of Lake Arthur), 225 Pleasant Valley Road, Portersville

This regatta features eco-recreational activities on both land and water—free family fun for all ages!


Richland Township Community Day

When: August 9

Where: Richland Community Park, 1157 Van Velsor Drive, Bakerstown

The biggest event of the year in Richland Township! The festivities will conclude with Zambelli fireworks.


Shaler Township Community Day

When: July 4

Where: Kiwanis Park, 1 Meyer Road, Glenshaw

Shaler Township’s Community Day will include lots of fun family activities and food. Enjoy the day with neighbors and friends!


Summer Inspiration

Cranberry Community Chase 5K Run/Walk

When: July 12

Where: Community Park, 111 Ernie Mashuda Drive, Cranberry Township

Experience a unique course combining hills, roads and nature trails, making it an interesting and challenging 5K.


Habitat for Humanity’s Youth Triathlon

When: July 19

Where: North Park Pool, South Ridge Drive, Allison Park

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh’s Youth Triathlon is for athletes ages 7-15 of all ability levels. Participants must be able to swim, bike, and run on their own. Participants will receive a t-shirt to tie-dye, as well as a medal upon finishing. Trophies will be awarded to the top three boy and girl finishers in each age bracket. Registration is required.


North Boroughs 5K and Walk

When: August 9

Where: Greenstone Methodist Church, 939 California Avenue, Avalon

Support North Hills Community Outreach and the Northgate cross country team at this year’s North Boroughs 5K and Walk.


Shaler Great Gardens Tour

When: July 13

Where: Five local gardens

Enjoy colorful blooms, ponds, and paths on the Great Gardens Tour. Proceeds benefit the Shaler North Hills Library.


Twilight 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk

When: July 25

Where: St. Conrad Campus & Butler Farm Show Grounds, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler

Proceeds of the event will benefit All Saints Parish and the Sarah Kasunic/Emily Leyland Scholarship at Butler Catholic School. This run is great for competitive and casual runners as well as walkers.


Festivals and Fun in the Burgh

Bloomfield Little Italy Days

When: August 14-17

Where: Liberty Avenue (from Ella to Gross Street), Bloomfield

Bring your appetite to one of the region’s largest heritage festivals! Expect lots of music and food, games, and activities for the kids among the unique shops and fine restaurants. This four-day festival will have three packed stages with more than 30 acts.


Night in the Tropics: Island Oasis

Feel the Caribbean breeze at this 21+ summer party, featuring live music, tropical drinks, and great food from more than a dozen local restaurants. This all takes place while enjoying the lush habitats of the aviary after hours.


Northside Music Festival

Northside Music Festival consists of a curated lineup of a wide variety of musical genres. It also includes numerous art vendors, food, and lots of family activities.


PedalPGH

When: August 24

Where: Allegheny Commons Park, 60 West North Avenue, Pittsburgh’s North Side

This casual, fun charity ride welcomes thousands of riders of all ages, abilities, and fitness levels to explore the Steel City. Proceeds benefit BikePGH, a nonprofit organization that works to make the city safe and accessible for everyone to bike and walk.


Picklesburgh

Picklesburgh is the destination for all things pickled! This culinary celebration goes well beyond the dill. Enjoy international dishes, artisan cocktails and beers that feature pickled ingredients, and lots of other prepared foods. There will also be canning demonstrations and much more. It’s kind of a big dill!


Pittsburgh Black Music Festival

When: July 14-17

Where: Point State Park and Market Square, Downtown Pittsburgh

This festival celebrates the history and heritage of jazz, gospel, R&B, and soul music in America. The free outdoor music event also features food vendors, speakers, cultural activities and more.


Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival

When: September 18-21

The Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival brings world-renowned musicians, local jazz pros and new artists-to-watch to the stage to create a sound experience like no other. Be ready to party, dance, sing and even make some musical memories.


Pittsburgh Taco Festival

The original festival celebrating tacos! A portion of the proceeds will directly benefit local charities.


Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix

When: July 10-20

Where: Various locations in and around the city of Pittsburgh

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is a huge vintage automobile event, spanning 10 days with two race weekends, car shows, parties, parades, and motorsport events. It raises funds for local organizations that serve people with autism and intellectual or developmental disabilities.


Rock, Reggae & Relief

When: August 2

Where: Stage AE, Pittsburgh’s North Side

This music festival offers reggae tunes, unity, and feel-good vibes while offering a helping hand to neighbors in need. The event raises money for local charities.


Summer Flower Show

When: Through September 21

Where: Phipps Conservatory, 1 Schenley Drive, Oakland

Enjoy a summer safari bursting with terrific topiary animals, tropical foliage and beautiful blooms.
