Festivals, Fairs and Fundraisers
Butterfly Festival
When: August 24
Where: East Main Street, Carnegie

Carnegie’s Shade Tree Commission and lots of volunteers will once again host the Butterfly Festival. Lots of seeds and some of the monarch butterfly’s favorite plants will be available. Children can create butterfly art, and there will be face painting, vendors, and education on the preservation of monarch butterflies.
Carnegie Dogapalooza
When: June 1
Where: Carnegie Park and Dog Parks, 21 Cooks Lane, Carnegie

This is a yearly event designed to spread awareness of safety and health for canines in Carnegie and surrounding areas. The day will include food trucks, vendors, licensing, a dog bathing center, and raffle baskets. The furry friends costume parade will bring a smile or a tail wag to all involved!
Findlay Township’s Fair in the Woodlands
When: August 15 & 16
Where: Clinton Community Park, 85 Clinton Park Drive, Clinton

The fair is organized by the Findlay Township Fair Board and staffed by many volunteers, employees, and vendors. This event features the Findlay 5K Race and 1-Mile Fun Walk, food, games, exhibits, entertainment, live music, craft demonstrations, a parade, and lots of children’s activities.
Moon Wizarding Festival
When: September 6
Where: Moon Park, 1350 Joe DeNardo Way, Moon Township

Moon Park will be transformed into a magical world of witches, wizards, fantasy folk and muggles for this event. Organized by Moon Parks and Recreation, the magical day will feature artisans, crafters, music, games, crafts, food, drinks, and a costume contest. This is a free event open to all ages.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Festival
When: July 17-19
Where: St. Joseph Church, 1304 4th Avenue, Coraopolis

This parish festival has something for everyone. There will be plenty of carnival games, entertainment, basket raffles, Bingo, train rides, a petting zoo, Big Buck Bonanza Raffle, and great daily food specials.
North Fayette Township Police Youth Programs Golf Outing

This annual golf outing raises funds for youth-related programs through the coming year.
PALS Golf Outing
When: September 7

This event benefits PALS, a community-based volunteer organization dedicated to developing and facilitating structured recreational opportunities for children and youth with special needs. The registration fee includes light breakfast, lunch, award ceremony, hole-in-one and closest-to-the-pin contests, raffles, prizes, and gift auction.

Carnegie Carnegie Studio Jazz Series: Howie Alexander Trio

The Howie Alexander Trio is a little bit of funk, a little bit of jazz, and a whole lot of good vibes!

Collier Township’s Concerts in the Park

Collier Township Parks and Recreation presents outdoor concerts on Sunday evenings. A variety of musical talent will be featured, a different artist each week. Take a blanket or chair, and enjoy local food trucks or Grist House beer that will be available for purchase.
Crafton Performing Arts Association Summer Concert Series
When: Thursday evenings, July 10 through August 14

The Crafton Performing Arts Association, for more than 50 years, has organized an annual outdoor concert series. The goal is to provide entertainment for neighbors, families, and friends, evoking old memories and creating new ones. All concerts take place rain or shine except in cases of excessive thunder and lightning.

Global Performance Series: Afropop with Mathew Tembo

The Carnegie Global Performance Series is an initiative that celebrates the unifying power of music, performance, and art across cultures. Mathew Tembo, ethnomusicologist and director of Afropop Ensemble, blends traditional Zambian instruments with contemporary sound.
Stage 62 Presents ‘The Prom’

Pittsburgh C.A.R.S. (classics, antiques, road, and specialties) will be on display. Dash plaques will be given to the first 100 participating cars. Best-of-show trophy will also be awarded.
Dads and Donuts RC Rally

Celebrate Father’s Day with donuts and remote control vehicles! The skate park will be open exclusively to remote control vehicles to race (these vehicles are prohibited from the skate park at any other time).

Celebrate Independence Day with an evening of music, food, balloon and airbrush tattoo artists, giveaways, and fireworks by Pyrotecnico. Gates open at 5 p.m. Shuttles will run from the Findlay Activity Center and Municipal Building.
Kids Fishing Derby

Head to the lake to see who can catch the biggest fish at the annual fishing derby! Kids ages 15 and younger can grab their rods and reels and cast a line. Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish in each of four categories. Adult supervision is mandatory for participants 9 and under.

Family Fun Color Run

Participants in this 1-mile event will walk or run the loop around Clinton Park while being blasted with colors along the way.
Moon Glow Run 5K

Get ready to light up the night at the Moon Glow Run! Neon face painting, great music and games will add to the fun.
North Fayette Community Days 5K, 1-Mile Kids Run, and Family Fun Walk

Where: North Fayette Community Center (Parking Lot), 580 Donaldson Road, Oakdale

The race begins and ends at the North Fayette Community Center and follows Donaldson Road. Prizes are awarded to the top male and female finishers, as well as the top age group finishers. All participants receive a t-shirt.
Thomas J. Witt Memorial Firecracker 5K Run/Walk

The Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival

PedalPGH

This casual, fun charity ride welcomes thousands of riders of all ages, abilities and fitness levels to explore the Steel City. Proceeds benefit BikePGH, a nonprofit organization that works to make the city safe and accessible for everyone to bike and walk.

Picklesburgh is the destination for all things pickled! This culinary celebration goes well beyond the dill.
