The season got off to a lively start in South Fayette as the annual Summer Kickoff Concert welcomed families to Fairview Park on June 17. The Peters Township Market in the Park has been bringing the community together at Peterswood Park each Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. since May 27, and will continue through Aug. 26. It features fresh produce, locally made goods, handcrafted items and specialty foods from regional vendors. From homegrown produce to handmade crafts, the Renzie Market has something for everyone. From May through October, the Renzie Market welcomes local farms, kitchens, and crafters to sell their wares in a new location under the Jakomas Blue Top Pavilion. Upcoming markets take place on July 16, August 27, September 17, and October 15 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. In October, the setup will include a fall festival and bonfire.

Bethel Park held its annual Community Day on Sept. 20, with the traditional parade kicking off the event at 9 a.m. followed by festivities at Bethel Park High School. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., families and friends enjoyed more than 60 booths of games, refreshments and local vendors, along with music from a deejay, inflatable obstacle courses, airbrush tattoos, and more.
