Be a Lifeline for Animals!

You can help save the life of animals by supporting Animal Lifeline Pittsburgh.

Animal Lifeline Pittsburgh in Homestead provides care for at-risk and homeless pets, including a lifesaving transport program for animals in need. It is a nonprofit supported by a 100% volunteer staff, which assures that every dollar donated goes directly to the needs of the animals. Some of the care Animal Lifeline provides includes emergency medical care, dental care, spaying and neutering, and vaccines. This is especially important because rescued animals can sometimes require procedures and care costing between $3,000 and $7,000!

Volunteers for Animal Lifeline also travel throughout the eastern United States to retrieve animals in danger of being euthanized, or who have been displaced by natural disasters such as hurricanes and floods. They are transported to safe shelters where they may be adopted by caring individuals and families.

The organization has a constant need for food and supplies to care for these animals. On the website, there is a gift registry where you can select items from Walmart, Amazon and Chewy.com to be delivered directly to Animal Lifeline, making it easy to help with specific needs.

Another great way to support the work of the organization is by attending fundraising events. On Saturday, May 16, Super Spring Bingo will be held at St. Elias Byzantine Church, located at 4200 Homestead Duquesne Road in Munhall. A $40 ticket includes lunch, plus there will be door prizes and cash prizes! This is a fun event and a great way to save animals in need. Visit the Animal Lifeline website to purchase tickets.

You can also make a donation in memory of a loved one or a cherished pet. This is a wonderful way to honor the memory of a friend or relative who loved animals.

Pets available for adoption are on the website as well, and you can quickly search for a specific breed of dog or cat, and preferred gender. An online form is available to make starting your adoption process easier.

If you are able to contribute, volunteer, adopt or foster an animal, visit the website at animallifelinepgh.org.
